Measurements

In order to make the best garments possible, INDOCHINO uses your body measurements to create a unique, made to measure suit pattern based on your body measurements. We guide you through our online measurement process step-by-step with easy to follow videos. It only takes 10 minutes and can be done from the comfort of your own home. You don't need a tailor, only a good friend. Don't have a tape measure? Get one here.

You'll be prompted to get measured once you're ready to checkout — after choosing from a full selection of suits, shirts and outerwear and customizing the details to match your style.

Once your order is placed, one of our Master Tailors will take your body measurements and create a made to measure garment just for you.

  • Do I need a tailor to take my measurements?

Not at all, in fact we don’t recommend it. The measurements we require are taken a little differently than traditional tailors. Take measurements into your own hands with our handy instructional video. For the true INDOCHINO experience, book an appointment at one of our showrooms and our Style Guides would be happy to help you suit up.

  • Can I use the measurements from a suit I own?

Afraid not. We need your unique body measurements so we can create your own unique pattern.

  • Where do I get a tape measure?

We’ve got you covered, but please note that we don't ship our tape measurers outside of North America and recommend our Tailor's Kit for those outside of North America instead.

  • How do I ensure my measurements are accurate?

Follow our handy instructions and you can’t go wrong. That said, there’s a chance some of your garments won’t fit the way you want right out of the box; minor alterations might be needed. If that's the case, please contact our Customer Experience team and we will be happy to help. We want to make sure you’re happy, so it’s a breeze when you order again.

  • The measurements I've taken while measuring myself are different than the measurements for my "off the rack" clothing. Is this a mistake?

No mistake. We are using your unique body measurements to create your pattern. Off the rack sizing varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and are not true garment measurements. Welcome to the world of made to measure, sizing as you know it is about to change

  • How can I check the measurements I have on file?

If you have any questions about your measurements or would like to tweak the fit of your garments, please contact our Customer Experience team and we will be happy to help.

  • Can I change the body measurements in my account profile?

Changing your body measurements can be risky, so we’d like to talk to you about it first. Please contact our Customer Experience team and we will be happy to help.

  • Can I have multiple measurements on one profile?

We only allow one set of measurements per person. If you need to make changes, please contact our Customer Experience team and we will be happy to help.

  • Why was I contacted to redo certain measurements?

Our fancy algorithm can predict a measurement range based on your age, height, and weight. It’s more accurate than astrology and phrenology but it’s not an exact science. If any of your measurements look off, we just want you to double-check them.

  • Do you make clothing for women?

In a word, yes. However, our patterning process is primarily designed to flatter the typical male silhouette.  Our suit cuts and designs may not be specific for a female silhouette but we can customize our suits in some ways to try and make them a better fit for the female form. We have some very satisfied female customers who are looking for a more masculine fit.

  • Does INDOCHINO have size limits?

We would love to be able to accommodate every person; however our made to measure pattern technology does have limitations. Learn more here.
